Its not my love of my team that clouded my judgement. We had to win by that margin for my fantasy league team, lol how shit is that.

Suddenly, one bad result against Stoke and the world jumps on Liverpool. I just don't get it. I have hardly heard Liverpool fans saying that we gonna win the league in the first place, certainly not myself.. Rafa didnt, Gerrard didnt. So where is all this Liverpool hype coming from? Of course fans will feel hyped after beating united and they should be, but what i dont understand is Liverpool get slated for absolutely no reason. We dont have the funds to compete against united and chelsea in the 1st place. Rafa has spend a a lot building a new team which peteskee even admits, its the best Liverpool team in ages. Rafa gets slated for playing kuyt out wide but did anyone question SAFs decision to play Rooney out wide against Liverpool, NO! (don't tell me that was more affective than kuyt. SAF rings just as many changes as Rafa, but still headlines in the morining is about Rafa's rotation policy. What i am thinking is.. what are people obsessed or something? The only real explanation i have is it really must've hurt united fans to lose against liverpool. Now please, if i am not mistaken we have 3 wins and 2 draws.. Not 2 draws a lose and a win.

Lets see where all this Liverpool Hype is comming from...

"The Reds players can start believing now." Ian Rush.

"If we show this sort of spirit and determination against all our opponents in the league then I’m sure we will make the progress we are all desperate to see this year." Tommy Smith (From you liverpool echo site that you always preach about)

"Has he finally got his grip onto the premier league style? Has he finally put together a side that is capable of challenging for the title? Only time will tell....." Rafalution19

"I feel there are a number of reasons to believe that this can be the year when a serious challenge is made." Another favorite or rafalutions Paul tomkins.

"STEVEN GERRARD believes Liverpool have the spine to launch a genuine championship challenge." Liverpoolfc.tv headline

This is where all the Hype is comming from your journos, your players and your fans. So when we jump up and say liverpool is dreaming OK. If you do win it no matter what has been said what has been done it will be the worst day in football for us united fans. You oaks dont shut up but thats ok neither do we.

I just want to say that Platini (Mugabe) not only is an ineffective autocrat but I don’t think that he is any good for the game, any time someone has something to say that goes against his own ideas, he shouts them down, he thinks he can use his position as president of European football to dictate…mmm…actually that is exactly what he is doing. As much as I don’t like Wenger, he is a brilliant manager, he firstly loves the game of football and wants to protect it from potential disaster. What happens if these billionaires loose interest in their respective clubs, they will make Leeds look like a walk in the park. We are owned by billionaires, fortunately they are sports fans which makes a huge difference, same as Roman, it seems that Russian geyser is really passionate about Chelsea, but don’t tell me that Mohammad al mak toum tim lak tir ter talle zakkell sjjfhjaskdadanfslkjafdsjfsdj (whatever) was born a man city fan and supported them as a boy, I maybe regurgitating what some supporter said yesterday but there is truth in that. We don’t have to look too far to see what happens when it all goes wrong, look at Liverpool or Hearts. Any how my billionaires have done wonders for my club and for that I am grateful.

no no my friend... dont say the reason why you slating liverpool now is because of these hype quotes that you have just pasted. I guarantee you only read them in the last hour.. why dont you post the full story so we can really see what was seid? I'll tell you why... because once again, its whatever suits united. You'll pick out small parts of a story, ridiculous.. especially the rafalution comment and the gerrard comment. Rush's & Tommys comments says nothing about winning the league. You are changing the story once again (like always)

The truth is, the only reason why you slating Liverpool is because you lost to them just over a week ago and you cant handle that.. but let me tell you something .... I'm loving it!!!

But i told you, i know you guys are gonna start picking up points.. Coz you've got your team back (Christina United)

Guys,

I think the answer to this debate has become abundantly clear to me, particularly in the last 24 hours, and yet it is such a simple one.

For me that moment of realization crystallized last night. I got onto the train with a group of Arsenal supporters, on their way back from their 6 0 thrashing of Sheffield United in the Carling Cup. Average age: 17. Oldest player, Johan Djourou at a ripely 21. Total football, you know, like in the old sense of the word. A hatrick for Carlos Vela by the way. Jack Wilshire, at 15, chipped in with one too. Having picked up on the glaring fact that I was wearing my Liverpool "5-TIMES EUROPEAN CUP WINNERS" edition tracksuit, the Arsenal supporters proceeded to sing, in all their joy, "FERNANDO TORRES....LIVERPOOL'S NUMBER NINE". What a gesture from the Arsenal fans...absolute class...

So....yes, the simple answer to this debate. Liverpool and Manchester United fans put down your weapons, and lets all support Arsenal...where the future's guaranteed!

ps. yes, 5, that would be "5-TIMES EUROPEAN CUP WINNERS"

Ill have to agree a bit with you there Athos...Arsenal play the most attractive football no doubt for me! We can say 'attractive ball doesnt win titles' and what not but for me i dont give a shit...they play the game the way it should be played and entertaine the way they suppose to!

lol when i took my braids out man! chicks dig it bru ;) hehehe just kidding thats my scary pic to let mother fuckers online know i mean business hahaha!!dodgy eh?

Just to let you know buddy i questioned SAF's decision to put Rooney out wide...and i do think this is the best squad you have had in long! When a team is getting results, arent playing that well and are far from top gear you must know that summin special is there...enough to win the title tho? i dont think yet buddy but of course ill give you a chance!

I aint talking rotation policies and malakia like everyone else does but can you honestly tell me your width is of the highest level? your spine is sick! as good as any in the world probably but i feel full backs and wings are where you lose it...if you think im wrong tell me but that is my opinion i said it before and ill say it agiain Kuyt and Ronaldo play the same position buddy...thats the difference!

Its all about funds buddy. Liverpool only spend a net of around 15mill this transfer window. I'm sure that if we had an extra 20 we'd have a world class right winger. We had more problems down our left side which rafa had to focus on first and that is why Rafa secured the signing of Riera. People say we spent too much on keane but lets be honest. How much does a proven prem striker cost these days.. There was no ways we were getting Berba, he was always going to united and Rafa probably knew that.. who says he didnt enquire in the first place? Jaude is also spanish and they probably had a long chat. Then again keane and berba are 2 different strikers which was a differnce of around 10 mill that Liverpool clearly don't have. We didnt even want to pay an extra 3 mill for barry (our top transfer target)
My point is that i'm sure our next priority is the right.. and we aint gonna be getting a ronaldo thats for sure. For the moment Rafa has to do best with what he has got. Although Kuyt isn't a winger, he is playing quite well at the moment. And to clear things up, I dont think we ready to win the league either.. But i would love too see us take it to March this time, not december.

If you think you can take it to march surely you think you can win it then from there...why not? If wingers were your priority and u were a bit strapped for cash why were you after Barry when you clearly should have gone for a Bentley for 3mil cheaper...the price you wanted to pay for Barry...? what i also dont understand is was Robbie Keane only bought because you couldnt get Barry, cos if what you say is true then you would neva had the money to buy both? Also come on if you wanted Barry that bad surely you should have just paid the extra 3mil (i kno you could have found it) made yourselves look a bit stupid and actually made things shit for Barry to go back and face villa, which i think he handled like a man. One more thing - how must alonso feel now that he knos he was dispensible?

Well put it this way, I dont want to be out of the running come Jan and fighting for 3rd/4th again, thats what i mean. I dont think we can compete to united and chelsea coz it just seems like they breeze past lessor teams and we struggle at times but if we hit form you never know.

About Barry, Rafa wanted a left footed english player. Riera was 2nd choice. After selling Riise and offloading kewell, we had no left footed players. Because Barry can play down the left and in the middle and because he is british (uefa rules have changed for champs league once again), he was Rafa's first choice. It even explains why he needed Keane and not another european. I understand what you saying about Bentley but we were interested in him. But can you imagine a team of only right footers? This is the reason why the left side was priority, leaves us stuck with Kuyt on the right. What I dont understand is why Rafa hardly plays Pennant (an out an out winger). He obviously doesnt feel he gives us balance and Kuyt does. But my gut feeling says if we had pennant vs stoke, it could've been a different story. Other than Riera, Dossena and Aurelio are the only 2 other left footers and only one of those would play at a time. I am not a supporter of the american wanker owners of ours, they are the reason that we didnt get barry. Barry was Rafa's number one target from the beggining. Rafa wasn't happy about it either.

oh and ofcourse we would have got barry if we sold alonso for the same price. Makes sense. I would have done the same thing

makes sense cos he can play left mid...just seemed like he was buying him as a center mid in place of Alonso so he and Masch could hold the middle and allow Stevie to push up again? Stevie G was great last season further up the pitch limking up with Torres...just feel with the inclusion of Keane he has to drop deeper and might not be as effective? time will tell i think if keane and the whole set up comes off i could be deadly - still feel a bentley would be so much for you on the right and well lets see if Riera comes off for..hopefully Benitex gives him enought time there..hope Babel doesnt tho...that would be a big mistake!

Babel will eventually be the same type of striker as Henry, coming from the left. Thats what i think Rafa is trying to do, not make him a winger. I would love to see babel and torres play together up front and stevie just behind. I think thats when we'd be most deadly.. Keane would just have to fill the gap for me. Like you say, the gerrard torres combo last season was sick.. It just feels disrupted at the moment with the inclusion of keane.. I'm just hoping that robbie can start firing coz if he does, it'll take so much off torres and gerrard. See liverpool rumours today about bale and lennon? I'd love bale but lennon? whats happening with that oak? is he even getting a game? he is class for me, but seems to have just disappeared?
