Thats cute, coz we have more chance of winning the league now then we did before the weekend, according to the bookmakers. Maybe you did us a favour by beating chelsea, who knows.

SAF on Benitez haha"My only response is that once you cut through the venom, because there was a lot of venom in what he said and I don't understand where it's come from, he (Benitez) was obviously disturbed about something."I think when he reflects, he must surely realise what a ridiculous thing he was saying. But I'm not getting into that. I think that's enough."All I want to do is keep the focus on my team. If I can do that and we can play with that excitement of today, then we have a big chance."-napaman
Brassed by the master himself...i had a good chuckle when i read this

No you dont have a better chance, you have better Odds. The difference with Liverpools odds and the Favorites has become bigger thus you chances smaller according to the Bookies.
I think taking a bet on Liverpool NOT to win the League is a good bet.

Good post in Teamtalks Forum.
what a lot of people don;t realise is the respect campaign is not purely aimed at getting players and managers to show respect to referees. There are 4 main focusses of the campaign - respect for referees is one, abuse from the terraces is another, providing a safe discrimination and bullying free environment for kids to play football is another and coaching is the final one. Yes the highest profile one is respect to referees, the only way this can be policed though is by the FA and the referees themselves, if they choose not to sanction offenders they have to shoulder responsibility for it not working. You and I both agree that Rooney constantly barracks the referee - the only person who can stop this is the referee - Rooney and SAF won't do anything until his actions start resulting in him being carded or sent off - it's as simple as that, 2 or 3 yellow or red cards and he'll shut up I'll guanrantee it. Cheers

A couple of things from me on the title race now...
1) United are in the driving seat at the moment no doubt
2) I believe Liverpool will be there end of the season as they have been strong finishers and yeah summing good has to come from that muppet Benitez's rotation crap(sorry Rafa the man irritates me with this and his team selections often) but a couple of things do depend on it whether they can go all the way not just be close
a) Keeping Torres fit is the biggest IMO you can not win it without him...we were reminded of this at Stoke on the wknd!
b) There are other key injuries which include Stevie G, nevermind injuries actually you gotta pray he doesnt get his salad tossed!hehe But yeah i think United can afford a few more injuries than Pool
3) I still stand by what a said about Chelsea being top class
a) For one they have been the most unfortunate outta the 3 with injuries NONE of you can deny it!
b) The biggest fuck up for me has been Scolari completely fucking up the balance in the team of late which is not summin your average fan would have picked up and i believe Pool and United have been very fortunate Scolari is such a clown..even Avrim Grant might have been doing better. scolari started well but has completely lost it since Ballack is back!
c) So for me if he can sort it out quick they will definately be there especially now that most of the guys have come back...

Peteskee, everything you say makes sense. I agree totally with the above. It seems every week people's opinions can change and thats due to unpredictability of gameweeks (including me). Every big side can drop pts (Even United).. United are favourates by far now and i believe the title is only for them to lose but they do have a lot of fixtures coming up and it could be hard but they are completely capable of performing in every one of those games. If a team slip up 2 games, the log looks different. Its who goes on the winning streak, thats whos gonna win the league, thats why it should be united.. They've got easy games in hand (should win, but not guaranteed), and we've got to play them at OT in March... Should be a cracking game but united normally have the majority of the chances and possession there. Looks like we gonna be a bit short and those stupid pts we dropped early on could cost us. THATS WHY IM SO FUCT OFF!!! Hope is still there though!

Like you say their fixtures are congested and could take their toll although United do normally cope quite well, i do think it is definately something to your advantage! Ofcourse there is still hope for you...Benitez just has to get it right from here and Nando has to start firing! Thats why he has been my latest purchase i cant think of a player more important to a team right now than him ;) and the boy is fucken fantastic, hope he catches fire fast!!!

Look Torres is natural although he might still need time to gain his full pace back... He got to start all our games now..If rafa doesn't hes a fucin idiot! Same with Gerrard! If he's gonna rest them it better be in a FA Cup tie, not the league!

Fuck it i took another chance on him best he and Rafa not let me down, you right if he dont start playing him he is useless! I reckon another brace against your rivals and the boy is back on track!!

Actually when I bring something up, and you guys make an arguement i've got all the right to defend my team. So dont get confused with tone and winning the league. I didnt say on friday we gonna win the league, i didnt say it above either, I actually havent said it once, but i do think we've got a decent chance and rightfully so. I didnt think you'd beat chelsea and i got proven wrong, just like i've mention above, perceptions can change.
By the way, the tone that has changed the most is shmilingi and yourself. Thats because liverpool have been in the position you've been wanting to be in all season and now you see you up there. You two are the ones making a big noise again. Remember, as good as united is, and as much as they've proven it, the league isnt won in Jan. The thing i have been arguing the most with you guys is the lack of respect you have for the rest and it just proves again because you oaks think you've won the league already... But i dont see the prem trophy going to OT yet... There's still some time to go, so please dont disrespect Liverpool and Chelsea, things could change very quickly!
Thats what fucks me off the most about united fans, players and manager.. Their lack of respect from everyone else. Ridiculous actually!

Sorry for the jumping back to yesterdays topic but i found something interesting
Rafa's body language tells it's own story
Dr Karl Morris, a leading sports psychologist who has worked with Andrew Flintoff, examines the five key areas of Rafael Benitez’s broadside.
THE NOTES
The fact that Benitez has got chapter and verse written down shows that he is so wound up that he is determined to get everything off his chest. Sir Alex’s remarks have been festering and he is determined not to forget to say anything in the heat of the moment.
THE VOICE
Benitez starts off speaking very calmly, quite measured, but it’s almost too calm. The effort of it makes the delivery a little forced, and he can’t keep the façade up.
RISING TO THE BAIT
Many of the claims Sir Alex makes are for the benefit of his own team, but he’s so good at getting his rivals to the stage where they just can’t keep their feelings bottled up. He will be delighted Benitez has reacted.
MIND GAMES
Sir Alex knows what he’s doing when he makes these comments, but Benitez’s reaction is not one of a man confident his side can win the title. He is trying to control what is outside his sphere of influence.
It’s a cliché in psychology but you should only worry about what you can control, not what you can’t. That Benitez is trying to influence things beyond his control suggests Sir Alex has rattled him.

Dr Karl Morris: Teaches in manchester, got or getting married in manchester, and worked with manchester united players so i persume he lives in manchester and is probably a United fan and hates Liverpool like the rest.
What a coincidence!
Secondly, Rafa has a Degree in sports Psycology so i doubt he'd be so predictable and not know what he's doing, instead of the other way round that Fergie knows and Rafa hasnt a clue.. Please, even a psycologist manchester united fan can speak crap to make his fellow supporters jump like monkeys!
Also if United lost this weekend Dr Karl Morris wouldn't have opened his mouth would he? if he even did because as far as i know it came out of the daily telegraph and these papers can speak a lot of crap.
What people dont realise is that since rafa's press conference, fergie hasnt said anything about liverpool and thats exactly what rafa wants... thats the whole reason why he said what he said. Another thing that is blown out of proportion is that the journalists made it sound like he lost it completely but in actual fact he sat there so calm an collected while he said all this, as well as praising fergie in the prossess, no agression, "just facts" .. as he says. Do people really think that he did it just for the chelsea game? I think that press conference was to benifit in the long term, the rest of the season... If Fergie says anything about liverpool now like he's been doing all season he'd just be proving rafa right.. So he's in a position now to just shut up.. Nice Rafa!!
If its the other way round i'd love to see Fergies face when he's just lost or drawn a game.. We'll see who got to who when that happens..

And he is From Warrington which is in the middle of Pool And United. His game is Golf not soccer and he is the Leading Mind coach in EUROPE!!!!
Another point you wont agree with though because its against Liverpool.
SAF didnt need to say anything but he did, he said "I don't understand where it's come from, he (Benitez) was obviously disturbed about something."I think when he reflects, he must surely realise what a ridiculous thing he was saying."
Lol this was after the Chelsea game SAF 1-0 Benitez you dont want to play mind games with the master bud.
The only reason that Benitez has done this according to opinion is to keep the spotlight off Gerrard and on him.
Nice thing to do i think commit suicide for your captain.
