That is just madness what he did at Wigan like he was 3 up! And taking off Torres with 5mins to go against Everton stuff like that you just dont do! There have been so many like that tho when he started Alonso on the bench against Fulham when Stevie was out etc. it just baffles me!

You see he is a good manager, you cant tell me he isnt. Because shit managers dont win cups with average sides. He has proved it. And thats why the majority of the liverpool fans backed him. Guest ( I'm guessing you peteskee), Rafa didnt tinker before we beat chelsea and took us to the top of the table. We, or should i say I believed he was over that and learned. I was never a fan of his rotation and his ludicrous substitutions, I even mentioned that in previous posts in the early days of these forums. Rafa would have been a fantastic manager for liverpool if he just chose hes best in every game, and rest them when we are 2-0 or 3-0 up. If he did his tinkering in the fa and carling cup only it would be perfect. A manager isnt only a guy that picks a team (which is clearly his downfall).. He is great a building a squad, and a very well balanced one too. He has got many positives and thats why he was backed, you cant tell me 2 million liverpool fans were blinded. maybe 5000  could have been but the rest must have seen something. You guys might say we were blinded but i think it wasnt just that. We were trying to see the bigger picture. You guys didnt go through the 14 year spell without a title (spurs werent expected to win it), liverpool fans were desperate to see improvement and thats what Rafa gave us. What do you expect, every liverpool fan to say OK FUCK Rafa!! He must go now! And now everybody is going to say: I told you so!
Roy Evans, Souness, Houllier couldnt build half the squad Rafa did. What do you want us to go back to that? Its easy for other fans to say that when you dont really support the team coz it wont be you that suffers the concequences. And even if we did get a better manager to replace him he still deserved his chance! There is more pressure at liverpool than you guys think. Everyone here knows a manager needs time, Fergie and Wenger proved that, and think the Scolari situation is proving that too.. The thing i dont understand the most is that when we were on top, why did he start tinkering when we never really had difficult fixture? We could have been well clear of the rest with 15 games to go we could have now been very close to been champions. This is what dissappoints me. We had our best chance and threw it away and mostly Rafas fault. Thats why i am just about to jump on the anti rafa train. Last season i said lets give him one more chance, this is it. Lets see what the decisions will be then.

-rafalution19

Rafa, respect for your honesty here bro. I astonished to what has happened at pool. I just want to add to your comments, what happens if Rafa leaves and another replaces him? the next manager would have to start all over again which may take 5 years or so. one option would be to bring in a master tactician like mourinho but what does that give you? a manager who comes in wins and leaves, no sustainability. As we all know mourinho wants to conquer euro but has stated clearly that he wants to come back to the EPL. I have an enormous respect for Martin O Niell and i would love for him to come to United when the boss man retires. he is birlliant, has built a side with limited funds and has shown that its not about big names.
Back to my point, i think the situation is difficult and unfortunate...i think that rafa has blown it, not over yet but thats what i think. The point about taking Steve G off is just mind blowing, at the end of the day you have the squad that can win the PL but bad tactical and management decisions will undermine you season.

what do you lads think about bosingwas skop on benayoun, if he goes unpunished then they better get rid of every member of the fa. if it was united there would defs be some type of punishment

Absolutely shocking...cant believe he does that with a shitload of cameras on him they review it and he gets away with it! Evra does summin behind closed doors at Chelsea where there is no video evidence and gets banned for 4 games... Apparently the story is the FA cant punish him because the linesman admits he saw the incident- BUT he did fuck all what the fuck?

Shmilingi, i agree. This is what i've been saying about what do we do if liverpool sack him? start all over again. Especially that hes brought the spanish armada to the club. We could face a player exodus if he leaves, especially if we dont get the right manager to replace him, then our problems are even worse. And even if we do, its gonna take at least another 3 years to build and to get the right system. Maybe its better, but do you think rafa could do well with more time? He has improved our squad every season and has made us competitive. Its just tweaking and ironing out that he has to do. If we improve by getting better squad players then kuyt, dossena and lucas then maybe the rotation wont look so bad because of good replacements. The one thing that Rafa has to stop doing is those dumb substitutions. Against Chelsea he was spot on and we won, then in previous game, he does stupid things and what do we get? Stupid results! Sometimes i dont know what hes trying to prove. That is the time i get most frustrated and many liverpool fans too. If he carries on doing it then soon majority of the fans are gonna start calling for his head.

Yea I cant believe bosingwa got away with that. It is shocking! Discusting actually. Lampard I felt sorry for, he definately didnt deserve that. Think the ref had a difficult angle. Bosingwa should have been ban for 2 months!! Peteskee, we had about 7 or 8 shots on target and at that point and about 5 or 6 corners to Chelseas 1 of each. Possession about equal. Also, we were entering the period of the game where there is most likely to be a goal, Anfield?... the way we were playing? I think we deserved the win regardless of the red. Chelsea were dismal, just like they were at OT. No hunger whatsoever! ...and if you play like that, you deserve to lose. Especially when you HAVE to win! That has been our problem against the smaller clubs.

Yeah you did...BUT the result especially in Football is often not what was deserved so saying you deserved it on the performance but I just felt Chelsea had a really good chance of taking something with Lamps on you cant deny it even if you were much better, they were playing a bit better than they were at OT, once again if you had quality width you would have destroyed em as United did cos you were controllin the middle...imagine if it happened to you with Stevie could easily have happened?

Well they just looked more solid than they were at OT...but still a shadow of their former selves!

Lets not get into the bosingwa story or the lamps story, it doesnt matter if you had the ball under control he had his studs showing THATS IT FOR ME RED.

True that doggy, true that! Look thats football i guess. Sometimes you play well and dont get what you deserve, sometimes you play shit and get your goal and win. Its happened to all the good teams.. and to be champions you have to win games without playing well.. You got to nick those goals. Still thought chelsea would have done better than they have so far. Looks like they need more time under Scolari. I also thought  looking at our position in the beggining of the year we would have still been on top but we not. Man U are still ahead of the rest. Fergie's experience puts them there. And as much as teams spend in the next 3 years it could still be the same so long as he is there. He knows exactly what to do all the time and those things make the difference, unfortunately for us, chelsea, arsenal, aston villa and man city.. So unless miracle happens, united will equal our record and my goodness am i gonna hear it from these oaks. At the moment, i'm just hoping for 2nd

I agree with you Napa to a point, if Alonso connected Lamps studs he would have been out for the rest of the season. Red but was harsh because of his intention. The problem is we always see studs showing like that in so every game. If that deserved a red then you'll probably see a red in every game.

Not to bring up the topic again but i believe its time for technology to enter the game on a rather small scale, like when red cards are shown or goal line tech. it would take 30 secs to show on screen so to say that it wasts to much time is bollocks. football is a traditional sport but like we've seen with many other sports such as tennis, rugby, cricket there are no errors, they have evolved. why should teams and players get an unfair advantage becasue we quiblling with what its going to do to the game...bullshit. we always say thats football but thats not football, its human error, these errors are catastrophic such as lampards red. I am not saying anything about pool winning the game because i felt that controlled the game and deserved the victory but who knows what would of happened, now all we can say is -thats football.

I agree wholeheartedly Shmilingi well said...ITS TIME for technology especially now that so much money is involved, these decisions can be the difference between a team staying up missing out on a CL spot, the league!!??  And this 'thats football' is fucken bullshit..lets make it 100% fair if we can...and it will take only a few secs for some of these decisions from a 4th ref!!

And i dont agree with you Napa that was not DEF a red for Lamps!! I have seen guys get away with far worse like your precious Rooney and Ronaldo!!
